The HDH Group’s senior management has realized that there is not a deductible, coinsurance amount, co-pay, or employee contribution strategy aggressive enough to address the escalating cost of employer sponsored group healthcare programs in today’s environment. That realization evolved into our own health and productivity unit headed by our wellness coordinator; a registered nurse. In fact, we are the only broker/consultant in the state of Pennsylvania, employing nurses to address wellness initiatives through education.
Employers are in dire need of solutions to address the chronic conditions that plague their employee population. Further, it is paramount that the healthy employee population remain healthy. Through the coordination of resources on disease state management and wellness protocols offered by health insurers, repetitive communications on subjects that address the actual usage of a particular employee population, and the development of a wellness committee that has achievable timelines set by our wellness coordinator, employee lifestyle behaviors will be modified. It is important that these wellness initiatives be enhanced by the use of incentives using a collection of different pay values.
As respects actual utilization habits of a workforce, your HDH team will provide a consultative clinical approach to addressing lifestyle behaviors. Once the conditions are identified and initiatives in place, the framework has been built to conduct benchmarking from the inception of wellness campaign and each succeeding year. It is through this that employer will realize their return on investment.
